Other Features and Programs

Margin

Trading on margin increases an investor's leverage and buying power. While you may enjoy greater gains, you also risk greater losses and must pay financing charges.

Portfolio Margin

Portfolio Margin offers eligible investors a lower collateral requirement and greater leverage than traditional Margin Accounts. With greater leverage, gains may be greater, but risks are higher and you must pay financing charges.

Rollover IRA

With a Rollover IRA Account, investors can preserve the tax-deferred status of their retirement assets, without paying current taxes or early withdrawal penalties at the time of transfer. A Rollover can provide increased flexibility from a prior employer's plan.

Stock Yield Enhancement Program

Earn additional income on fully paid and excess margin securities by permitting IBKR to lend those securities to third parties. Program activities are managed entirely by IBKR and require no actions on the part of participants.
